Stop telling women that they’ll get their body back eventually

Because I don’t feel like I ever lost it. It’s different, but despite an everlasting love-hate relationship with my body, this is my favourite look so far. My body made two babies at the same time and their existence came with stretch marks, some loose skin, a scar across my abdomen and a sad excuse of a belly button. And isn’t that cool? Permanent proof of what my body did – the body I’ve always had and still have now.

I don’t have anything to “get back.” I already got what I wanted, and they’re well and truly worth this belly.
